    Lakewinds Golf Course is a public 18 hole golf course offering the most affordable rates in Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Roxboro, Hillsbourgh and RTP area.

    The course is conveniently located in northern Durham, only 10 minutes North of I-85, off Highway 501. Lakewinds is semi-private and locally owned and operated by David and Iva Fridley. It's expertly maintained with a comfortable pace of play.

    Our mission is to create an atmosphere of recreation, fun and camaraderie for our members and guests. Our staff offers service that anticipates and satisfies with our belief that when members and guests are treated properly, the club will be at its best.

  • The course

    The stunning 18 hole layout challenges the experienced golfer, while its clever yet classic design and four sets of tees make the course enjoyable for all players, scratch to novice.

    Lakewinds is one of the most interesting and challenging golf courses in the area offering a test of ability and shot-making while staying playable for golfers of all skill levels with tree-lined fairways and hilly terrain. Water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.
